**Job Summary**: As the Solutions Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of pre-sales operations within the ANZ Federal Sales District. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring innovative solutions to market and achieve revenue targets.
You will lead by example, foster a winning culture, and motivate your team to deliver exceptional results. Developing long-term strategies and shorter-term plans is crucial in meeting aggressive performance goals.
The overall responsibilities of the Solutions Engineering Manager include providing management oversight to Solutions Engineers, growth and development of the function, selecting, hiring, and developing results-oriented professional employees.
- Lead, coach, and motivate your team, creating a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Develop and provide oversight to your team's professional development, establishing and monitoring performance goals in collaboration with Sales Leadership.
- Evaluate NetApp's innovative solutions and products to customers and partners, participating in industry trade events where necessary.
- Analyze market trends and competitor behavior, providing feedback to Sales Leadership and Product Management.
- Participate in sales campaigns and operate as an active leader, collaborating with Sales and the Leadership Team to grow business through leading initiatives beyond the scope of pre-sales.
Key skills and qualifications required for this role include:
• A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as an individual contributor and 1 to 5 years as a people manager.
• Based in Canberra, with understanding of the ANZ Federal sector.
• Australian citizenship with security clearance (NV1 and above preferred).
• Experience demonstrating significant expertise in technical specifications required to sell NetApp products and services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with employees within the department and across functions.
