Job Title

We are seeking a Community Work Officer to promote offender rehabilitation through meaningful community work.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing community work opportunities and contracts to enable offenders to complete their community work hours and orders successfully. They will administer relevant community work practices including monitoring attendance and compliance with requirements at community work placements, and contracting offenders to appropriate local community work sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide community work opportunities and contracts to enable offenders to complete their community work hours and orders successfully
  • Administer relevant community work practices, including monitoring attendance and compliance with requirements at community work placements
  • Contract offenders to appropriate local community work sites
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with Community Work Supervisors (field staff), community work partners and other relevant stakeholders
Requirements
  • Strive for service excellence, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be able to self-manage, using available information to make sound, timely and well-informed decisions
  • Be flexible and adaptable to change
  • Have computer proficiency, including in the use of the Microsoft Office suite, electronic document management systems and internal databases
