Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team, working exclusively with Australian Defence Force veterans.

  • Utilize your clinical expertise to support veterans in achieving rehabilitation goals and readiness for civilian life.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including medical specialists, treatment providers, and other stakeholders to facilitate recovery and return to function.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor tailored rehabilitation plans for clients.
  • Perform assessments and services including Vocational Assessments, Job Readiness, and Vocational Counselling.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting veterans who have sustained injury, illness, or trauma. As a Rehabilitation Specialist, you will work closely with a diverse range of clients, each with unique needs and challenges.

  • You will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments, identifying areas of improvement, and developing targeted rehabilitation plans.
  • Your role will involve collaborating with healthcare professionals, employers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • You will also provide ongoing support and guidance to help clients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop personalized rehabilitation plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care and support.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust rehabilitation plans as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling or Psychology.
  • Current registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA or ASORC).
  • Strong clinical reasoning and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A genuine passion for helping people rehabilitate and thrive.
  • Occupational rehabilitation experience is essential.
  • Experience working with Military, Veteran, or Emergency Services clients is highly desirable.
