Payroll Compliance Specialist

This is a high-impact role that requires effective collaboration across multiple functions and business units. You will play a key part in driving meaningful change by ensuring payroll compliance and data accuracy.

Description
  • You will work with large and complex datasets to identify discrepancies, support remediation efforts, and ensure compliance with relevant awards, enterprise agreements, and legislation.
  • Analyse payroll data to identify potential issues and develop strategies for rectification.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Legal, and Analytics teams to validate findings and ensure accuracy.
  • Document methodologies and audit trails to support transparency and compliance.
  • Develop and implement remediation strategies and payment plans.
  • Contribute to the improvement of payroll processes and procedures to prevent future compliance issues.
  • Promote proactive payroll compliance across the organisation.
Requirements
  • Strong payroll background with experience in end-to-end payroll operations.
  • Proven track record in payroll compliance and data analysis, ideally in a remediation context.
  • Solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements.
  • High level of attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
