Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in the technical aspects of mine planning for medium to long-term operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute your skills and experience to deliver excellence.

The successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking underground design and evaluation work, calculating ore reserves according to planning policies and legislative requirements. You will also handle medium- and long-term design and scheduling, including capital planning for exploration, ventilation, dewatering, and backfill.

  • Collaborate and contribute to mining technical projects at various stages of development.
  • Develop strong networks with operational personnel to enable support to the departments.
  • Create, develop and maintain adherence to appropriate procedures and processes to ensure consistently accurate, appropriately detailed, timely and efficient delivery of mining plans.
  • Engage and manage external consultants for specialist technical projects.
  • Share knowledge by mentoring our mining engineers.
  • Conduct economic analysis for underground and technical projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have substantial underground engineering experience, previous knowledge of open pit mining is highly regarded. You should also demonstrate a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and possess strong proficiency in mining software such as Deswik, Xeras, and Microsoft Office.
