Senior Mining Engineer Role

We are seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to join our team, driving exceptional outcomes through hard work and dedication.

The ideal candidate will have a Degree in Mining Engineering and a First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency. They will possess strong working knowledge in underground hard rock mining, showcasing comprehensive practicality in production, mine planning, and project management.

This senior role involves leading and mentoring a team of Drill and Blast, Ventilation & Infrastructure Engineers, assisting the Alternate Underground Manager in their absence, and developing functional work plans for the Mining Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and approving production drilling and charging plans, conceptualising, initiating, presenting, and implementing specific improvement projects to enhance productivity and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist the Alternate Underground Manager in their absence.
  • Develop functional work plans for the Mining Department.
  • Review and approve production drilling and charging plans.
  • Conceptualise, initiate, present, and implement improvement projects.
