Job Overview

  • This role is focused on ensuring that Risk Surveillance systems and data controls meet the risk requirements of various business groups.
  • The successful candidate will have prior knowledge and experience in trading data, including market data, profiling and analysis experience, with a good understanding of Trade Surveillance.

About the Role

  • This position plays a key part in designing and implementing data controls to ensure that risk requirements are met.
  • Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining data architecture, ETL processes, data modelling, data analytics and visualisation.
  • The ideal candidate will work closely with Trade Surveillance Product Owners and Technology partners to prioritise the 'Data' book of work and ensure delivery.
  • Contributing to the development of business requirements for data sourcing, profiling and mapping is also an important aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data controls to meet risk requirements.
  • Develop and maintain data architecture, ETL processes, data modelling, data analytics and visualisation.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to prioritise the 'Data' book of work and ensure delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of business requirements for data sourcing, profiling and mapping.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of financial markets products.
  • Basic SQL scripting skills.
  • Exposure to Power BI, Alteryx, DWH concepts and Python.
  • Good understanding of key regulations impacting data requirements (e.g. MiFID, GDPR etc.).
  • Good knowledge of data architecture, Data (ETL) processes, data modelling, data analytics and visualisation.
