Senior Controls Engineer Role

This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our data centers.

The Senior Controls Engineer will lead projects to fit out data centers to meet evolving customer needs, collaborating with various stakeholders across AWS. The ideal candidate should have strong engineering judgment and experience managing projects and consultants.

About the Role:
  • Lead projects to design, implement, and maintain control systems for data centers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project requirements.
  • Develop and implement standards for control systems to ensure consistency across data centers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and accept proposed changes to site-specific control infrastructure against AWS Data Center standards.
  • Conduct site audits of data centers and produce reports outlining risks and recommended mitigations.
  • Support construction, commissioning, and turnover for controls projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in project coordination with multiple teams or vendors.
  • Experience with industrial or commercial engineering in mission-critical facilities, including data centers, power generation, and oil/gas facilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in project coordination with multiple teams or vendors.
  • Experience with design, configuration, or servicing products from companies like Siemens, Honeywell, and Rockwell Automation.
