Looking for a dynamic and driven Inventory Control Specialist to join our team

Job Description

As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management system. This involves executing inventory control measures to minimize materials holding and maximize material system and paperwork accuracy. You will provide timely and accurate reports and information on materials & variances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the company's materials and product inventory including material profiles and accuracy checks for data.
  • Provide routine management information on inventory performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate consumables usage & costs, material utilization and waste.
  • Write and maintain accurate written procedures for all main material control processes and functions.
  • Ensure works orders are correct and fully completed and that all material has been allocated to the job correctly.
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of the material management system.
  • Produce daily reports to ensure key critical areas of the material system are controlled and any discrepancies addressed and resolved.
  • Manage control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved.
  • In charge of Stocktake process - ensure accurate reporting of variance, investigation & analysis in a timely manner.
  • Identify problems & issues and recommend relevant corrective actions to resolve issues to ensure continuous improvements and following up to completion.
  • Improve data processing and cycle time to ensure quality data for the business, develop procedures and reporting systems to support management and Procurement team.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities within the location for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of its operations.
  • Become a champion of productivity, efficiency and data measurement to enhance the growth of the business.

Requirements:

  • Possess a relevant qualification and/or suitable background experience in inventory management/purchasing.
  • An attitude towards continuous improvement plans and implementation.
  • Have a good understanding of MRP and inventory control/management systems and ERP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
