About the Role

The Workshop Manager position requires an experienced professional to lead our maintenance team at a facility, ensuring efficient and effective operation of the vehicle workshop.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, scheduling maintenance, assigning tasks, and monitoring workflow for maximum efficiency and reliability.
  • Ensure vehicles and equipment are properly maintained and repaired in a timely manner to meet organisational needs.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve productivity and quality.
  • Manage a team of skilled technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to enhance their capabilities.
  • Liaise with operational teams to coordinate schedules and respond to urgent requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and costs for informed decision-making.
  • Monitor expenditure and make recommendations to improve cost-effectiveness while maintaining high standards.
Requirements
  • Significant experience as a senior automotive maintenance professional or similar role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills to resolve complex issues effectively.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of technicians to achieve shared goals.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with maintenance tracking systems and fleet management software to optimise operations.
