**We are an Aged Care Facility based in Birkdale, Brisbane and we are looking for an enthusiastic maintenance officer to join us on an initial 6 week contract to cover our full time Maintenance Officer.**

You will primarily be responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance duties throughout the residence, including equipment monitoring, ground upkeep, and accurate and timely reporting.

Our ideal Handyman or Maintenance Officer would come from a maintenance background, be available for an immediate start and have experience in this type of role, preferably in a similar environment.

We have a group of 6 homes in and around Brisbane and this opportunity could lead into a full time permanent position if the contract goes well and that is what you are looking for.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- General maintenance and handyman duties
- Fixing doors, blinds, beds and tinkering
- Patching and Painting, filling holes
- Light plumbing and electrical duties - unblocking toilets and changing sparks and bulbs
- General grounds upkeep
- Taking responsibility for organising and coordinating trades
- Reporting and monitoring scheduled maintenance

**You must have (or be wiling to obtain)**:

- National Police Check
- Experience carrying out maintenance or handyman work
- Full time availability
- Ability to drive (with own vehicle)
- Full and up to date vaccinations including covid booster (this is a government mandate in Aged Care Facilities)
