Job Overview

This role involves working with IoT instrumentation to install, operate, maintain and calibrate devices that deliver critical data for smarter infrastructure and environmental insights.

Key responsibilities include executing field and office operations for IoT sensor installations, reworks and servicing across a diverse monitoring network.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Install, operate, maintain and calibrate IoT devices to ensure accurate data collection.
  2. Execute field and office operations for IoT sensor installations, reworks and servicing.
  3. Provide feedback on IoT use case trials to inform future innovations.
  4. Plan and carry out installations and maintenance of various field instruments at designated monitoring sites.
  5. Conduct quality control audits with precision.
  6. Lead workforce planning activities to ensure efficient field operations.
  7. Actively contribute to project teams and collaborate across departments.
  8. Build strong relationships to support smooth project delivery.
Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Water Operations or relevant related tertiary qualifications.
  • A current NSW driver's licence.
  • Valid/obtain Confined Space certificate, General WHS Construction card, RMS Traffic Control certificates, Senior First Aid certificate, Specialist Gas Testing certificate.
  • Valid/obtain current inoculations in Hepatitis A, B and Tetanus.
  • Relevant experience in the wastewater/water industry.
  • Demonstrated experience working under limited direction and to tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience operating, calibrating and maintaining IoT field equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring staff in all aspects of field IoT.
