Metrology Engineer Opportunity

Join a pioneering team that is revolutionising water services in Greater Sydney. As a Metrology Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of smart technology and IoT.

This exciting opportunity is part of our Customer Metering Planning Team, responsible for developing strategies for water meter supply, installation, and maintenance. Your technical expertise will be instrumental in driving business cases for a full rollout of smart meters.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and practices in metrology, smart metering, and IoT to support Sydney Water's growth.
  • Developing and leading the implementation of Sydney Water's metrology program to ensure compliance and performance.
  • Designing new processes and systems to maximise the value from meters and generated data.
  • Collaborating with various teams to deliver project outcomes and drive business results.

To succeed in this role, you will need a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations related to water metering. You should have hands-on experience with water metering systems and excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders effectively.
