IT Technical Assistance Specialist

The main objective of this role is to deliver efficient IT assistance to all end-users.
This position may require addressing complex or challenging IT issues that necessitate further investigation and an in-depth knowledge of IT systems.
- Offer technical guidance to users on computer hardware and software.
- Manage assigned requests within the ServiceDesk system, ensuring Service Operations tasks are completed based on priority of request.
- Resolve all user problems and queries in a timely and effective manner.
- Provide users with a professional service by regularly updating requests and offering realistic resolution times.
- Evaluate potential issues or areas for improvement and escalate them to Team Leader as necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 3-5 years of relevant IT Support experience along with relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Strong technical understanding of Desktop hardware and software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good time management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple problems simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of the organization's Standard Operating Environment (SOE).
