Electrical Supervisor Job Description

Gruyere Gold Mine, a joint venture between Gold Fields and Gold Road Resources, is located in the Yamarna Greenstone Belt in Western Australia. The mine was commissioned in 2019 and is one of Australia's largest and lowest cost gold mining operations.

The Electrical Supervisor will provide front line support and ensure all works are carried out in a safe, timely, cost-effective and environmentally responsible manner. They will assist to ensure all maintenance/electrical work is safely executed in accordance with the plan, while meeting all relevant legislative and statutory requirements.

This role is offered on an 8 days on 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth or Drive in Drive out from the Goldfields region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day activities of electrical team inclusive of contractors.
  • Ensure all maintenance electrical works are completed in a safe manner and in compliance with established safe work procedures and systems.
  • Provide ongoing leadership and mentoring for the Electrical team through effective use of Performance Management Systems.
  • Assist to develop and maintain training and development plans for the team.

Requirements:

  • An Australian recognised Electrical trade qualification & WA Electrical License.
  • Statutory 26 Supervisor Certificate.
  • High Voltage Switching Qualifications And Experience.
  • Previous Electrical Supervisory experience with strong practical knowledge.
  • A current Electrical Nominee's License.
  • SAP knowledge would be highly regarded.
  • Instrumentation experience is an advantage.
  • A valid manual driver's license.
  • Demonstrated leadership and performance development experience within a mining environment.
