We are seeking an Aboriginal Liaison Officer to provide support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients, carers, and visitors accessing services at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide culturally responsive services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients, carers, and visitors.
  • Advocate for patient safety and improve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patient care at RDHM.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide high-quality care and services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and organizations.
Requirements
  • Qualification in Community Services/Development, Aboriginal Health, or a similar area.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working with Aboriginal groups and services.
  • Empathetic, caring, and kind, with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Self-starter with a passion for improving patient outcomes.
