Job Description

We are seeking an experienced individual to fill the role of Mental Health Dual Diagnosis Peer Worker in our team.

As a Peer Worker, you will be based in the Emergency Department and collaborate with the Mental Health Emergency Teams to enhance outcomes for individuals with a Dual Diagnosis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing strong partnerships with stakeholders, including liaison with families and/or carers.
  • Providing advocacy and support to consumers and carers.
  • Collaborating with clinicians and services to improve the consumer journey and treatment outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have lived experience of mental health and drug and/or alcohol issues and be willing to undertake the Certificate IV in Peer Work.

This role requires weekend and after-hours work and may involve travel across the district as needed.
