• Type: Temporary Part Time 32 hours per week
• Salary: $31.51 - $52.48 per hour + 12% super & salary packaging

This is a temporarily funded position until 25 June 2028 with the possibility of an extension subject to funding. Applications close: 21 September 2025.

The Dual Diagnosis Peer Worker is based in the Emergency Department and works with the Mental Health Emergency Teams to enhance outcomes for individuals with a dual diagnosis. The role requires lived experience of mental health and drug and/or alcohol issues and provides advocacy and support while linking consumers/carers, clinicians and services to improve the journey and treatment outcomes.

The Peer Worker will develop strong and effective stakeholder partnerships, including liaison with families and/or carers. The role may require travel across the district and work on weekends and after hours.

Requirements

  • Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Certificate IV in Peer Work or willingness to undertake the Certificate IV in Peer Work
  • Valid NSW Drivers Licence
