About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Events and Partnerships Lead to join our team in Europe. As a key member of our International Marketing Group, you will be responsible for driving user growth, brand awareness, and affinity in priority international markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pave the way for Events and Partnerships to contribute to Europe Marketing's goals, focusing on strong MAU growth and driving consideration of Canva as a tool for work.
  • Build structure around our Events and Partnerships plans, ensuring maximum impact, relevance, and execution quality.
  • Act as the main point of contact in key partnership conversations, working closely with local Growth Marketing Managers.
  • Manage partnership commercials closely, leading negotiations and ensuring cross-functional stakeholders are integrated into planning as needed.
  • Plan with Canva's 'Two Step Plan' in mind, looking for opportunities for our partnerships and activations to serve as a Force For Good.
  • Primarily focused on a B2C audience while maintaining a close partnership with Canva's B2B team.
Requirements
  • 10 years+ experience brokering partnerships and building events across Europe, ideally within a startup/scale-up environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful commercial partnerships.
  • Experience working within the SME / Knowledge Worker & Consumer space.
  • Ability to design commercial structures while appreciating the need for brand synergy.
  • Experience executing Owned Events & Paid Event Sponsorships aligned to strategic goals.
