SoHi Spirits is a rapidly growing company in the world of sophisticated spirits, known for bottling the pristine terroir and essence of the NSW Southern Highlands. Our beautiful spirits - gin, vodka, vermouth, liqueur, and cocktails - create delicious drinks, gorgeous gifts, and elevated occasions.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Events Lead to grow our Events arm, engaging people with storytelling, brand, and marketing expertise. The successful candidate will lead a premium events offering that embodies our brand's 'Real. Fancy.' spirit.

In response to growing demand and opportunities for SoHi to participate in various events, such as food and wine festivals, design and makers markets, and producers markets, this role has been created to build, expand, and market our Events offering. This will put SoHi's liquid on more lips and create elevated event experiences that bring our playful and luxury brand to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and represent SoHi at various major events, managing their end-to-end lifecycle from sourcing to event execution, post-event analysis, and reporting.
  • Focus efforts predominantly on Southern Highlands, Sydney, Canberra, and South Coast, with opportunities in Melbourne and further afield where compelling.
  • Capture and package event-related content for use in social media and other marketing activities.
  • Grow advocacy and repeat online and shop retail sales from event attendees.
  • Contribute to overall events and marketing strategy, sales forecasting, and business planning.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-quality team of casual event staff.
  • Foster and demonstrate a culture of professionalism, excellence, luxury, and fun.
  • Occasional work in other parts of SoHi's business in the Southern Highlands when required.

About You

  • Liquor, hospitality, and/or retail experience.
  • Sophisticated understanding of brand, sales, and marketing.
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated people person who thrives on engaging and telling stories to customers, able to build and maintain relationships with a team.
  • Proactive and collaborative approach that works well with a small team, willingness to roll up sleeves where required.
  • Ability to work autonomously and think creatively to achieve goals.
  • Excellent communication, administration, and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to work weekends where required in response to event requirements.
  • Willingness to drive company vehicle to and from events when required.
  • Current RSA, driver's license, and access to a vehicle.
