About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Climate Reporting Manager to join our team at QBE Europe. As a key member of our Group Sustainability function, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing our climate reporting policies and disclosures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of climate-related reporting policies and guidance in accordance with Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS), working closely with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Provide technical input and develop supporting technical papers on the application of measurement and reporting requirements under ASRS.
  • Support the preparation of climate-related financial disclosures in the Annual Report and develop pro forma disclosures that comply with ASRS.
  • Develop and present training on current and future climate-related financial disclosure standards.
Requirements
  • Extensive finance and accounting policy or financial reporting experience.
  • Insurance industry experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge – AGAAP/IFRS with a focus on standards relevant to QBE's business.
  • Strong technical skills enabling analysis of requirements, and commercial and practical application.
  • Strong project management and planning capabilities to coordinate the review of climate reporting policies and disclosures.
  • Proven experience of dealing with people at all levels in the organisation, strong stakeholder management experience and the ability to negotiate, persuade and influence within a global team.
