Community Safety Officer

As a casual School Crossing Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our community, particularly children and parents using school zones.
You will be responsible for providing relief at various sites within the Forbes/Parkes Local Government Area, working collaboratively with local stakeholders to deliver safe outcomes.
- Becoming a familiar face around the school, building relationships with families and local residents.
- Working flexibly to provide support during peak hours (8:00am - 9:30am and 2:30pm - 4:00pm) Monday to Friday during the school term.
- Providing excellent customer service, being approachable and responsive to the needs of the community.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
- A strong commitment to safety, with a focus on preventing accidents and promoting a culture of risk awareness.
- Reliability and flexibility, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- The capacity to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
- A willingness to obtain relevant certifications, including a Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check, and Health Assessment.
