Portfolio Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our team in Brisbane. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering well-diversified and risk-controlled investment solutions to clients, with a focus on public (listed) markets research.

About the Role

In this hands-on role, you will thrive at the intersection of data, finance, and quantitative thinking, engaging in asset class research, manager research, portfolio implementation, and portfolio analysis and reporting. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Supporting the team with data analysis to guide investment decisions and portfolio strategies.
  2. Building and updating dashboards and models to automate analysis and track performance.
  3. Assisting with the preparation of detailed client papers and reports.
  4. Providing support in developing strategic asset allocations and portfolio solutions for clients.
  5. Assisting with portfolio management, portfolio rebalancing, and managing cash flows.
  6. Assisting in performance reviews, investment research, and risk reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in mathematics, data science, statistics, or a related field.
  • A commitment to ongoing learning, including potential pursuit of professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM, or PRM.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent quantitative skills.
  • A keen interest in international markets, ESG, and socially responsible investing.
  • Experience using Excel, Python/MATLAB, or equivalent, and SQL.
  • Eagerness to ask questions and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
