This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Investment Portfolio Strategist to join our team.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth quantitative equity research, analysing portfolio construction, and utilising quantitative models to support investment decisions. This includes developing and maintaining quantitative models to forecast portfolio performance, identifying investment opportunities and weaknesses, and contributing to the frameworks for monitoring overall portfolio construction and equity managers for performance and process anomalies.
The ideal candidate will have direct equity investment experience, experience in multi-manager equity portfolio construction, and knowledge of quantitative portfolio modelling, researching and forecasting. They will also have working knowledge of relevant regulations and reporting requirements, as well as an understanding of ESG factors in the investment process.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain quantitative models to forecast portfolio performance and identify investment opportunities and weaknesses.
- Contribute to the frameworks for monitoring overall portfolio construction and equity managers for performance and process anomalies.
- Monitor and evaluate market trends, economic indicators, and industry developments as they relate to portfolio positioning.
- Collaborate with the team to develop investment strategies and recommendations using quantitative modelling.
- Utilise advanced statistical techniques and software tools to analyse large datasets and derive actionable insights.
- Direct equity investment experience.
- Experience in multi-manager equity portfolio construction.
- Quantitative portfolio modelling, researching and forecasting skills.
- Working knowledge of YSYF and APRA regulations and reporting requirements.
- Understanding of ESG factors in the investment process.
