Job Description:

Lead Financial Close Projects

The position of Strategic Financial Transformation Lead involves leading financial close projects with a focus on implementation and finance transformation.

This is a full-time role open to candidates located in Australia. We prefer candidates based in Sydney or Melbourne but will also consider remote applicants across the country.

Travel Expectations: Up to 40%

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a thorough understanding of financial close technologies, including BlackLine, across various modules, including implementation
  • Lead discussions regarding R2R technology and process with seamless transition between the two
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that meet business requirements
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality work products
  • Develop executive-level presentations to communicate complex issues and recommendations across processes, systems, and people
Requirements:
  • 8–10+ years of finance management and/or transformation consulting experience at a large firm
  • Technical competency in Record-to-Report (R2R), including Financial Close & Consolidation, Cost Accounting, General Accounting, and/or Intercompany Accounting
  • Strong leadership skills with an executive presence and ability to coach junior team members
  • Proven project management experience: workplan development, milestone tracking, risk and change management, and stakeholder communication
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex business concepts to executive audiences
