Transport Program Leader

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a unified approach to school transport matters in Queensland. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a holistic understanding of how the Department plans, manages, and delivers school transport services throughout the state.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strategic vision and direction for school transport in Queensland, leading the reform program of work.
  • Liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather contextual insights about individual project objectives, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Provide advice on contractual arrangements and identify key risks, ensuring public procurement probity and ethical processes are upheld.
  • Engage with stakeholders to communicate the rationale and intended outcomes of changes, empowering teams to adapt during transitions.

Requirements:
