Brand and Creative Strategist

Matrix is seeking a highly skilled Brand and Creative Strategist to drive the development and execution of our brand strategy, ensuring consistent messaging across all communication channels.

This role combines strategic thinking, creative direction, and cross-functional collaboration to elevate Matrix's brand presence globally.

  • Develop and execute an overarching brand strategy that aligns with business objectives
  • Lead the creative direction for the brand, crafting a compelling narrative that resonates with students and parents
  • Manage subscriber data, provide creative direction to the team, and work with marketing teams to align brand messaging

The ideal candidate has proven experience in brand strategy, creative direction, or a similar role, with strong understanding of brand management, creative execution, and strategic communication.

A portfolio or examples of successful brand campaigns are required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Leadership qualities, project management skills, and a hands-on approach are also necessary.

This role reports to the Head of Marketing and Enrolments and is based out of our Sydney CBD head office.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and executing the overarching brand strategy
  2. Leading the creative direction for the brand
  3. Managing subscriber data
  4. Providing creative direction to the team
  5. Working with marketing teams to align brand messaging

Maintaining brand guidelines and monitoring the effectiveness of brand messaging are also key responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will be able to lead and mentor a small team, including a social media executive, content writer, and designers, and report on brand performance to inform future strategy and creative decisions.
