About the Role

The successful candidate will join our team as a Customer Service Officer, contributing to the Territories Stolen Generations Redress Scheme. This exciting initiative focuses on healing trauma in Stolen Generations survivors from the Northern Territory, Australian Capital Territory, and Jervis Bay Territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Culturally Sensitive Service Delivery: Provide sensitive and respectful communication services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, ensuring a safe and empowering experience.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and comfort with changing working environments.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, incorporating trauma-informed care principles: safety, empowerment, connection, choice, and control.
  • Case Management: Maintain comprehensive and detailed case management records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely progress reporting.
  • Organizational Skills: Manage competing priorities, monitor service delivery, and take personal responsibility for accurate work completion and quality requirements.

What's On Offer

This APS5 equivalent hourly rate contract offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact. As a valued member of our team, you'll enjoy:

  • A notional 12-month contract based in Woden, ACT
  • An attractive salary estimated at around $60-$80 per hour, commensurate with your experience and qualifications
  • A Baseline Security Clearance and National Police Check are preferred, or willingness to obtain
