Job Description

The APS 6 Business Support Officer will be involved in a wide range of tasks, including:

">
  • Working collaboratively in a team-based environment, building and sustaining relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Providing information, guidance, and assistance on Defence and Government policies, including recordkeeping, travel, finance, and other relevant policies.
  • Using experience to interpret and draft documentation, including correspondence, reports, briefs, and ministerial submissions.
  • Conducting minor procurement and providing oversight to and guidance on the directorate commitments register and budget.
  • Developing and implementing procedural, operational, corporate, administrative, and business support documentation consistent with business requirements.

Salary and Benefits

">

The successful candidate can expect a salary range of $91,702 - $104,753 per annum, plus up to 15.4% superannuation. The role is based in Fairbairn, ACT.

Requirements

">
  • The ideal candidate will have high-level problem-solving skills and the ability to assess requests for information, analyse and interpret legislative/policy requirements, and apply these and/or make recommendations.
  • They should be well-versed in utilising the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Experience with Objective would be beneficial.
