About the Role

Challenge Community Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Foster Care Compliance Specialist to join our team. This role involves ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements related to foster carers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular reviews, maintaining databases, and supporting potential foster carers through the authorization process. Additionally, they will assist in delivering training programs, assessing placement options for children and young people, and organizing foster care activities and events.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular reviews of foster carers to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date databases related to foster care services.
  • Support potential foster carers through the authorization process.
  • Assist in delivering Shared Lives training programs.
  • Assess placement options for children and young people.
  • Organize foster care activities and events.
Requirements
  • Qualifications in Community Services or a related field.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to engage with a range of audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to write comprehensive assessment reports with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring deadlines are met without sacrificing quality.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in using client management systems and databases.
  • Required Checks: A current NSW Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement), NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to obtain), and full COVID vaccination status.
  • Driving License: Possession of an Australian Driver's License.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including:
