About the Role:


Challenge Community Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Carer Compliance Officer to ensure the organization remains compliant with internal and external requirements related to Foster Carers.


The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular reviews, maintaining compliance databases, and supporting potential foster carers through the authorization process.


Additionally, the Carer Compliance Officer will assist in delivering Shared Lives training, assessing potential placement options for children and young people, and organizing foster care activities and events.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Conduct regular reviews of foster carers to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance databases and records
  • Support potential foster carers through the authorization process
  • Deliver Shared Lives training and assessments
  • Assess potential placement options for children and young people
  • Organize foster care activities and events

Requirements:



  • Qualifications in Community Services or a related field
  • Effective communication skills and ability to engage with a range of audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to write comprehensive assessment reports with attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Experience in using client management systems and databases
  • Required checks: NSW Working With Children Check, NDIS Workers Screening Check, and full COVID vaccination status

Desirable Criteria:



  • Experience in using the ACWA Step by Step tool or other assessment tools
  • Experience in facilitating Shared Lives training or group-based training
  • Experience in using the NSW Carers Register
