Contract Administrator Job Description

A leading contractor builder seeks an intermediate to senior level Contract Administrator to support project delivery and ensure smooth project execution from inception to completion.

The successful candidate will work closely with the project team, responsible for design development, financial management, procurement, subcontractor negotiations, cost reporting, and closing out financial accounts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reporting to Project Manager or senior management
  • Detailed development of design and scope understanding
  • Maintaining relationships amongst clients and subcontractors
  • Managing RFIs, progress claims, head contractor and subcontractor variations, and EOT submissions
  • Subcontractor management and preparation of tender packages, scopes of works, contract documentation, and procurement schedules
  • Reporting costing, managing cash flow, negotiating payment terms with suppliers, and controlling overall project expenditure
