Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Specialist to join our team at Collar Group. As a Personal Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents in residential Aged Care facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, mobility, and hygiene.
  • Assist Registered Nurses with documentation of vital signs, medication administration, and resident assessments.
  • Support residents with meal consumption and monitoring nutrition, ensuring their dietary needs are met.
  • Implement infection control and prevention measures to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Provide palliative care, restorative care, and pain management services to residents.
  • Liaise with residents' families, doctors, and allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements

  • Certification in Aged Care or Individual Support, or equivalent.
  • Current COVID-19 vaccinations and annual flu shot.
  • First aid and CPR certification.
  • Minimum 6 months of full-time experience working in Aged Care as a Personal Care Worker in Australia.
  • Current Police Check and NDIS Clearance, or willingness to obtain.
