Arboriculture Trainee Job Description

Care for trees and shape green spaces as part of our Arboriculture Trainee team.

This three-year traineeship will cover theoretical and practical requirements, including on-the-job training while completing a Certificate III in Arboriculture course. You'll gain experience in rigging, knot tying and the safe use of commercial equipment.

The traineeship is open to school leavers, mature age applicants, second year apprentices and/or those who have commenced their Certificate III in Arboriculture.

About the Role

As an Arboriculture Trainee, you'll be part of a team conducting tree care services, including pruning, tree removals and planting projects. You'll work at our depot, supporting the Open Spaces team and gaining practical skills across multiple crews.

You'll receive on-the-job training, with compulsory course costs paid by the employer. You'll also enjoy approved leave to attend TAFE, employee benefits programs, Novated lease options and significant retail discounts.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to learn and contribute to the success of the team.
