
Tree Care Specialist

Are you passionate about tree care and looking to start a rewarding career in arboriculture? We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team as an Arboriculture Trainee.
This three-year traineeship will provide you with hands-on experience in rigging, knot tying, and the safe use of operating small plant such as a commercial woodchipper/mulcher and chainsaw. You will be working alongside skilled tree professionals and will gain practical skills across our three tree crews.
Programme DetailsThe traineeship is based at our Oak Flats Services Depot and provides a comprehensive program that covers theoretical and practical requirements. You will support the Open Spaces team and work on various projects including pruning, tree removals, and tree planting.
In addition to your on-the-job training, you will also complete a Certificate III in Arboriculture at Yallah TAFE. This qualification will equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in this field.
EligibilityThis opportunity is open to school leavers, mature age applicants, second year apprentices and/or those who have already commenced their Certificate III in Arboriculture.

As part of our program, you will receive ongoing training, guidance and support from workplace mentors while completing a nationally recognised qualification.

Benefits and Conditions- Temporary Full time up to 3 years
- 38 hours per week with access to a 9 Day-fortnight
- Salary up to $838 per week
- Plus 12% superannuation
