At the City of Melbourne, we invite a skilled Event Producer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about delivering exceptional experiences that bring communities together.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced event producer to collaborate closely with our Senior Manager of Premier Events in orchestrating some of the city's most iconic events.

As an Event Producer within our Premier Events team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing strategic, curatorial, and administrative outcomes for major outdoor events and event venues.

You will also lead the programming and production of our flagship festival, Melbourne Fashion Week, along with smaller events throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement strategies for the delivery of high-quality events.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve successful event outcomes.

- Provide expertise in interpreting legislation, regulations, local laws, and strategic plans to ensure effective implementation.

- Lead programming and production efforts for major events.

**Requirements:**

  • Tertiary qualification in event management or substantial experience in mid-senior level operational and programming roles within major outdoor event settings and event venues.
  • Experience working in a programming led fashion related festival environment and other relevant community events, with significant crowd and transport management complexities.
  • Proven expertise in interpreting legislation, regulations, local laws, and strategic plans to effectively implement them as needed.
