Strata Trust Accounting Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage strata trust accounts in line with legislative requirements.

About the Role
  • Manage trust accounts for various strata schemes, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Issue levy notices and process owner and creditor payments accurately and on time.
  • Monitor levy arrears, coordinate debt recovery efforts, and communicate effectively with lawyers and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure contractor compliance by verifying insurances, ABNs, registrations, and other necessary documentation.
  • Respond promptly to owner account queries, providing clear and concise information.
  • Prepare and issue Section 110 certificates as required.
  • Support annual financial year rollovers and reconciliations, maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist with reporting requirements for councils of owners and auditors, providing timely and accurate information.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience in trust accounting, strata accounting, or property accounts administration is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing, with a focus on minimizing errors and discrepancies.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with accounting systems, preferably PropertyIQ or similar software.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex financial information.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
