Job Description

As a Workshop Supervisor, you will oversee all workshop operations. Your responsibilities include supervising internal teams and coordinating the efforts of subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead your team with hands-on guidance and effective mentoring.
  • Diagnose and repair modern diesel trucks, forklifts, compactors, and plant equipment quickly.
  • Prioritize urgent breakdowns to minimize downtime in a fast-paced environment.
  • Schedule and coordinate maintenance to ensure all machinery remains service-ready and compliant.
  • Manage procurement and inventory, including ordering parts and tracking stock.
  • Maintain accurate records of fleet logs, maintenance history, and compliance documentation.
  • Serve as the key liaison for suppliers, contractors, logistics, and operations teams.
  • Enforce safety & compliance protocols, including inductions, procedures, and contractor oversight.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A qualified diesel mechanic with an HR driver's license (mandatory).
  • Demonstrated experience with heavy vehicles and plant machinery.
  • Strong procurement and inventory management skills.
  • Competency with maintenance management systems and basic IT tools.
  • A calm and adaptable approach under pressure.
  • Proven leadership experience, managing both employees and subcontractors.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder liaison abilities.
