**About the Role**
Talent International is recruiting Reportable Incidents Officers at both APS5 & APS6 level to join a Federal Agency.
This is an opportunity to improve Australia's largest healthcare reform since Medicare and protect our most vulnerable.
As a Reportable Incidents Officer, you will contribute to educating and training providers about incident management systems, identify incidents, prevent and effectively respond to them.
You will also provide expert advice to senior colleagues in the NDIS Commission about trends, issues, individuals of concern and inadequate investigations by providers.
Developing productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including service providers and regulatory bodies, is crucial for this role.
Supervision, coaching, mentoring and guidance to others are also essential responsibilities of this position.
Behave in accordance with the values promoted by the Commission and support the implementation, operation and monitoring of the Reportable Incidents function.
Manage a caseload of incident reports, engage with providers on complex incidents and escalate incidents for investigation or other action where necessary.
Monitor incoming reportable incidents to ensure high risk incidents are escalated expeditiously and escalate any delays or workflow obstacles with line managers and managers.
**Key Responsibilities:**

**Requirements:**
- Australian citizenship and ability to secure AGSVA baseline security clearance is mandatory.
- Ability to pass Australian federal background checks.
- Experience working in a social service portfolio.
- The ability to communicate and demonstrate patience and empathy with people from diverse cultures, backgrounds and barriers.
- Well-developed problem-solving skills, including analysing issues independently and drawing sound conclusions from available information.
- Previous experience in a reportable incidents environment, managing moderately complex incidents affecting the safety and wellbeing of participants to a high standard.
- Relevant experience in dispute resolution, mediation or conciliation.
- Knowledge of the issues facing people with disability in the context of their rights, health, safety and wellbeing.
- Experience in a regulatory environment.
