Job Title: Air Freight Export Specialist

Our team is seeking a skilled air freight export specialist to join our perishing department.

This role involves managing processes, handling and distributing documentation in the shipping area, coordinating pickups, and ensuring customer requirements are met.

  • Manage documentation and distribution of shipments.
  • Coordinate pickup arrangements and ensure timely delivery.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Creates transport orders and ensures pickup at origin.
  • Performs booking and optimization tasks.
  • Prepares and distributes required export documents.
  • Checks responses from counterparts and finalizes document validation.
  • Follows up on shipment status and identifies incidents for resolution.
  • Supports customer service in incident management.
  • Maintains relationships with suppliers.
  • Identifies performance issues and proposes solutions.
  • Completes IT system tasks for real-time information.

Required skills and qualifications include:

Skills/Qualifications:
  • Experience with CargoWise system required.
  • Extensive knowledge of AFR export operations.
  • Minimum one year experience in shipping or international freight forwarding industry.
  • Solid understanding of freight forwarding and logistics.
  • Dangerous goods accreditation (highly regarded).
  • Results-driven and able to work independently.
  • High degree of reliability and attention to detail.
  • Team player with positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and administration skills.
