Job Title: Support Care Specialist

As a Support Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing personalized care and support to individuals with disabilities, empowering them to lead independent lives.

  • Deliver hands-on assistance with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores tailored to meet each individual's unique needs and preferences.
  • Encourage clients to engage with their local community through recreational activities, social outings, volunteering, or family interactions, promoting inclusion and social connection.
  • Support clients in developing essential life skills, increasing self-confidence, and achieving personal goals, fostering independence and choice in all aspects of their lives.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress, needs, and incidents, ensuring continuity of care and compliance with relevant guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other support workers, management, and external health professionals to provide holistic and coordinated care.
  • Ensure a safe, respectful, and compassionate environment for all clients, identifying and managing any risks appropriately.
Key Qualifications:
  • Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or a related field (desired).
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and completion of the NDIS Orientation Module (required).
  • First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, and team members.
