Strategic Project Lead for Operational Risk

We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Project Lead to join our Operational Risk team at Macquarie. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your extensive project management skills and lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic projects within the division.

In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders to execute projects in alignment with the Risk Management Group's Project and Change Delivery Framework. You will also support the Non-Financial Risk Platforms team in managing their backlog of system features, enhancements, and process improvements from initial idea stage through to implementation.

To succeed in this role, you will require strong technical knowledge, including experience in managing systems implementations and releases. Your expertise in agile tools and techniques, such as JIRA, will be essential in facilitating project delivery. Additionally, you should have excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate complex issues to diverse stakeholders.

What You Will Offer

  • 10+ years' experience as a Senior Project Manager within the Financial services industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge including experience of managing systems implementations and releases.
  • Experience in the Operational Risk domain and good working knowledge of Governance, Risk and Compliance systems.
  • Demonstrable experience using agile tools and techniques e.g. managing flow of work using JIRA and facilitating agile ceremonies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to communicate complex issues in a straightforward manner.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and work efficiently with diverse stakeholders.

About the Role

This role offers a competitive salary of $140,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a base salary, you will also have access to a range of benefits, including hybrid and flexible working arrangements, one wellbeing leave day per year, up to five additional days leave based on length of service, paid volunteer leave and donation matching, and access to a wide range of learning and development opportunities.
