Membership Role Summary

  • This Membership Consultant role is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of member organisations.
About the Job:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing current and potential corporate members, focusing on companies from key regions. They will work closely with the entire team to address members' enquiries, promote their interests, and build strong relationships to ensure satisfaction and long-term engagement.

This hands-on professional role requires strong customer service skills, organisational abilities, and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be able to handle tight deadlines, negotiate effectively, and provide general office administration support.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage current and potential corporate members, focusing on companies from key regions.
  2. Address members' enquiries and promote their interests in close coordination with the team.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing members to ensure satisfaction and long-term engagement.
  4. Develop and execute targeted membership acquisition and retention strategies aligned with the organisation's goals.
  5. Identify and approach potential new members through research and follow-up leads.
  6. Manage the membership database for accuracy and analyse trends for member needs and opportunities.
  7. Contribute to further development of membership services.
  8. Collaborate with the events team to reflect members' ideas and interests in the event calendar.
  9. Support event development and organisation in collaboration with the events team.
  10. Support the Corporate Services team with market knowledge and facilitate access to member companies for service requests.
  11. Represent the organisation at networking events, trade fairs, and member activities to foster connections and promote membership opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Accomplished professional with a degree in Business or related experience.
  • Relevant work experience in sales support or with a membership-based organisation.
  • Excellent organisational skills and project coordination skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle tight deadlines and negotiate effectively.
  • Professional people skills and phone manner.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and German.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • An interest in business relations and its advancement.
