Janitorial Position

Cleanliness and order are essential for a smooth operation in any facility. As a Janitor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the tidiness and organization of our premises.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
  • Dispose of waste by gathering and emptying trash.
  • Provide excellent service, cleanliness, and supplies to restrooms.
  • Thoroughly clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
  • Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
  • Perform minor repairs and adjustments to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Mix cleaning solutions according to specifications, combining water and detergents or acids in containers.
  • Steam-clean or shampoo carpets.
  • Restore and repair building interiors damaged by fire, smoke, or water using commercial cleaning equipment.
  • Clean laboratory equipment, including glassware and metal instruments, using solvents, brushes, rags, and power cleaning equipment.
  • Operate vehicles required for cleaning work, such as vans, industrial trucks, or industrial vacuum cleaners.
  • Adhere to procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
  • Monitor building security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies either manually or by using hand trucks.
  • Maintain lawns and shrubbery by mowing and trimming using mowers and hand and power trimmers, and clearing debris from grounds.
  • Report to managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
  • Requisition necessary supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.

Additional requirements include being able to work independently and as part of a team with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
