Enterprise Risk Management Specialist

The key to success in this role lies in developing and implementing strategic risk management initiatives that align with the University's overall objectives.

As an Enterprise Risk Management Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to work collaboratively with faculty and central portfolio leaders to identify, assess, and manage risks associated with various strategic and operational ventures.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive risk registers, analyse emerging trends, and contribute to the preparation of risk reports and dashboards for senior leadership and governance committees.
  • Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including academic leaders, professional staff, and compliance teams, to ensure integrated and proactive risk management approaches.
  • Design and deliver training programs, workshops, and guidance materials to build risk capability, awareness, and accountability within faculties and portfolios.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant qualification and extensive experience in risk management and related disciplines.
  • Proven track record of developing and applying enterprise risk frameworks, policies, and practices in complex organisations.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate complex situations and design practical solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory environments in higher education or similar sectors.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing reports and briefings for executive leadership and governance bodies.
