Job Role: Sales Support Officer

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing vital support to our Sales team and external merchandising partners.

This key role involves managing daily operations, supporting trade and commercial sales growth, coordinating store setups, and offering insightful feedback to support national and state-based sales objectives.

To succeed in this position, you will need to be a proactive, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a cross-functional environment that spans customer service, merchandising, and stakeholder engagement.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support daily operations and customer service for stores nationally
  • Manage new store setups and collaborate with merchandising teams
  • Coordinate and report on visual merchandising and store compliance (planograms, ticketing, stock levels)
  • Conduct store audits and prepare weekly audit reports
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stock queries, complaints, and web portal issues
  • Support CRM systems (including task and call planner adherence, photography and data upload)
  • Liaise with internal teams (Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Supply Chain) to ensure alignment with sales plans
  • Provide support in preparing and presenting sales reports and performance metrics
  • Deliver market feedback and intelligence to management to inform strategy
  • Participate in trade events, conferences and engagement activities
  • Support inventory management and product pipeline planning
  • Travel regionally and occasionally interstate, as required

About You:

We are looking for a confident and reliable team player with strong customer service skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Essential requirements include demonstrated professional experience in sales support or merchandising, prior experience working with building products, knowledge of CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Desirable skills include excellent planning, time management, and prioritization skills, ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively, willingness and ability to undertake manual lifting and regional travel, and a valid driver's license.
