Electrical Engineering Lead Role

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced senior electrical engineer to lead the technical delivery of high-voltage (HV) projects from feasibility, concept designs, detail designs, and owner's engineer.

  • This role involves developing, mentoring, and leading junior engineers in various aspects of power engineering, including HV/EHV substations design up to 500kV.
  • The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and be familiar with engineering software used in design.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships as an excellent communicator.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead teams of engineers in delivering larger packages of work, including training and mentoring junior staff.

- Provide conceptual and detailed design and review of specifications, drawings, etc.

- Maintain current design standards as set by legislative requirements.

- Carry out quality checks and procedures.

Requirements:

- Understanding of multiple engineering disciplines and experience in electricity transmission, distribution, and traction power projects.

- Experience in substation primary engineering position across HV/EHV substations design (up to 500kV).

- Familiarity with engineering software used in design.

- Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to manage stakeholder relationships as an excellent communicator.
