Senior Project Engineer (Electrical)

Principal contractor is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to oversee major electrical packages on a large infrastructure project in NSW.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, direct, and manage the full scope of electrical design and supply scope packages to ensure timely delivery, budget compliance, and adherence to specifications.
  • Pursue opportunities for design optimization and value engineering.
  • Review project documents, including design drawings, specifications, inspection reports, and changes, taking appropriate action when necessary.
  • Identify, mitigate, and escalate risks to meet project schedule obligations, minimize risk, and maximize cost avoidance and reduction opportunities.
  • Manage subcontractors during the construction and commissioning phase.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree qualification in electrical engineering.
  • Experience in delivering electrical packages of work on major infrastructure, energy, O&G, or power generation projects.
  • Strong project management and client-facing skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
