With a team of over 90 staff members, this company prides itself on its ability to tackle jobs of all sizes, providing an exceptional experience for clients and fostering long-term relationships.

About the Role

This position is an initial 5-month contract for a large-scale mining facility project in Balranald, located near Mildura on the NSW border. The successful candidate will have the option to relocate or work from a distance (DIDO) scenario.

A company car will be provided, along with accommodation and meals at the mining facility. Key responsibilities include:

  • Interpreting drawings, designs, and 3D models
  • Calculating volumes for work areas and total material volumes
  • Maintaining records of daily testing
  • Notifying clients of upcoming works
  • Identifying, setting out, and reporting on daily work area testing via TopCon GPS
  • Preparing ITPs, updating FICs, and gathering quality assurance documents and tasks

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering
  • Experience delivering bulk earthworks, large earthmoving, or mining projects for major civil contractors
  • Strong understanding of contractual obligations on large earthmoving and bulk earthworks projects
  • Geotechnical background and exposure conducting quality tests on site (ITPs)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ideal proficiency with TopCon GPS, AutoCAD, and Trimble software
  • Ability to relocate throughout the duration of the contract or DIDO scenario
  • Immediate availability or short notice

Estimated Salary: AU$130,000 - AU$150,000 per annum
