Job Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Tourism Development Manager to cover the beautiful Northern New South Wales, from the Northern Beaches to Byron Bay, on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Sales and Marketing professional to join our team and drive business growth in the tourism industry. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing tailored sales and marketing strategies for key accounts.

You will work closely with our partners to strengthen relationships, provide comprehensive training, and ensure effective use and placement of marketing materials. Your analytical skills will help you stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities, providing strategic feedback to management.

Main Responsibilities
  • Sales and Marketing Plans: Develop and implement tailored sales and marketing strategies for key accounts.
  • Relationship Management: Strengthen relationships with key accounts through regular contact and support.
  • Training and Development: Provide comprehensive training to agents via weekly sessions, presentations, and e-commerce strategies.
  • Marketing Collateral Management: Ensure effective use and placement of marketing materials in key account agencies.
  • New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities and beneficial trade/consumer events.
  • Industry and Competitor Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities, providing feedback to management.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate sales records and CRM entries, ensuring timely reporting.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience: In sales management and account management.
  • Desirable experience: In the tourism industry.
  • Excellent communication: Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key accounts.
  • Organisational skills: Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • CMS proficiency: Proficiency in CRM software.
  • Strategic thinking: Ability to analyse market trends and provide strategic feedback.
  • Presentation skills: Confident presenter with excellent presentation skills.
